All Beauty by Ané products are custom formulated and manufactured in the United Kingdom. We work with professional cosmetic chemists and manufacturers who meet stringent UK and EU safety standards.

Perimenopause is the transitional phase before menopause when your hormones -particularly oestrogen - begin to fluctuate and decline.

It can start in your mid-30s to early 40s and last several years.

During this time, many women notice their skin becoming drier, more sensitive, less resilient, or developing new concerns like uneven tone or texture changes.

Glow in a Bottle is a carefully blended face oil combining lightweight, fast-absorbing plant oils rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins, and antioxidants.

It’s designed to reinforce your skin’s lipid barrier - which weakens as oestrogen declines - while delivering a visible, healthy glow.

It’s non-greasy, fragrance-free, and suitable for all skin types including oily and combination.

Our toner contains a synergistic blend of 5% AHA Complex (Glycolic, Lactic, and Malic Acids) to dissolve dead skin cells and boost radiance; 2% Tranexamic Acid to target discolouration and sun spots, and Betaine Salicylate (BHA) to help clear pores and address congestion.

It’s formulated to be effective yet gentle enough for changing, sensitised skin.

Our face cloths are dual-sided: one side is soft muslin for gentle daily cleansing, the other is a slightly more textured weave for light exfoliation.

They’re made from 100% organic cotton muslin on one side and microfibre on the other and are reusable - simply machine wash after use.

They were designed to give you a professional-level cleanse at home, and they’re the perfect companion to our Cleansing Balm.

Our products are designed to support skin from the mid-30s onwards. Starting barrier support and gentle exfoliation early is one of the best things you can do for your skin long-term.

Absolutely, many of our customers who have been for us for some time are in the 60s an beyond.

Our formulations are designed to stay relevant and effective across decades - from the mid-30s into the 60s, 70s, and beyond.

The core skin needs we address (barrier support, hydration, gentle renewal, protection) don’t stop being important after menopause.

Your skin continues to benefit from these ingredients regardless of age.

Our products are formulated with sensitised skin specifically in mind.

During perimenopause and menopause, increased skin sensitivity is one of the most common changes.

Our Cleansing Balm is barrier-protective rather than stripping, the Face Oil is fragrance-free and non-comedogenic, and the Acid Toner is formulated to be effective at gentle concentrations.

That said, we always recommend patch testing any new product.

Please be aware in particular if you have a known sensitivity to essential oils as they are present in the face oil and cleansing balm in very small amounts.

This is one of the most common concerns we hear, and the answer is no.

Glow in a Bottle is formulated with lightweight, fast-absorbing oils that actually help regulate sebum production rather than adding to it.

Many customers with oily or combination skin tell us it’s the first face oil they’ve loved. It absorbs in under a minute and works beautifully under makeup.

Yes.

HRT addresses hormonal changes systemically, while our skincare supports your skin topically with barrier repair, hydration, and gentle renewal.

Yes, but we recommend using them on alternate evenings rather than layering them in the same routine.

Both actives encourage cell turnover, and using them together may cause unnecessary irritation - especially if your skin is already more sensitive due to hormonal changes.

Our products have been independently assessed to be safe during pregnancy. Cleansing Balm, Face Oil, and Muslin Cloths are generally considered safe during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

We always recommend checking with your midwife or GP before introducing any new skincare during pregnancy.

You may also feel that your skin is more sensitised as a result of hormonal changes so always make sure to patch test and introduce any new products slowly and one at a time.

For a morning routine: Cleansing Balm (with muslin cloth), Face Oil, then SPF.

For an evening routine: Cleansing Balm (with muslin cloth), Acid Toner (2–3 times per week), then Face Oil.

The key principle is cleanse first, treat second, the oil to seal everything in. This is a basic outline routine - but every Ané product is also designed to fit into your existing routine alongside any other products.

We recommend 2–4 times per week, ideally in the evening - and with sun protection in the morning.

This gives your skin the benefits of gentle exfoliation without overdoing it. If your skin is particularly sensitive, start with once a week and build up gradually.

More is not better with acid exfoliation - consistency at a gentle frequency is what delivers results.

Three to four drops is all you need, but you will quickly work out what is best for your skin. Sometimes it's a little bit less, sometimes a little more.

Warm the oil between your palms, then press gently into slightly damp skin (right after cleansing or toning).

A little goes a long way. One bottle of Glow in a Bottle typically can 2–3 months with daily use.

Yes. Both the Cleansing Balm and Face Oil create an excellent base for makeup. The Face Oil in particular absorbs quickly and leaves skin hydrated and smooth — many customers tell us their foundation sits better over it than over any primer. Just allow a minute for it to absorb before applying makeup.

You can absolutely start with just one product.

you’re choosing a single starting point, we’d recommend the Glow in a Bottle Face Oil - it addresses the most universal concern (barrier support) and the results are visible quickly. Our beloved cleansing balm is also a great option to start with.

That said, the products are designed to work together as a system, and most customers find the full routine delivers the best results.

This depends on the product and your skin.

The Face Oil typically shows visible hydration and glow within 1–2 weeks, but you may feel an improvement in as little as 3-4 days depending on your skin.

The Acid Toner shows improvements in texture and brightness within 3–4 weeks of consistent use (remember: 2–3 times per week).
