Serums contain more targeted active ingredients like peptides, retinols, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide that can penetrate deeper into the skin, while a face oil is a purely oil-based produt that works to nourish, protect, and seal in moisture on the skin's surface. Glow in a Bottle is an oil-based treatment designed to lock in the benefits of your other products while providing a concentrated blend of botanical nutrients. Think of it as the final, protective layer. Using both targeted serums and a face oil the right way can give excellent results. Is Glow in a Bottle suitable for all skin types, including oily or sensitive skin?
Yes. Our feather-light, non-comedogenic formula is carefully balanced with oils that mimic your skin’s natural sebum, ensuring it absorbs quickly without clogging pores. We specifically chose oils like Babassu and Meadowfoam Seed that soothe and calm, making it ideal for sensitive skin. That being said, Glow in a Bottle does contain a small amout of essential oils - so if you have a known allergy to using essential oils topically this will not be the best option for you. Always patch test first, introduce slowly into your routine until you find just the right level of usage for your skin.
Is Glow in a Bottle safe to use during pregnancy?
Yes. Glow in a Bottle has been independently assessed to be safe to use during pregnancy. All our products go through the required regulatory safety and compatibility testing procedures using an independent assessor.
Will Glow in a Bottle make my skin feel greasy?
We designed Glow in a Bottle to be a "dry oil" that absorbs instantly, leaving behind a soft, radiant glow, not a greasy residue. It feels lightweight and comfortable on the skin, a testament to our high-quality, plant-based formulation. It is also important to know that everyone's skin is different and even behaves a bit differently depending on the season, or even where you are in your cycle, as well as hormonal fluctuations during peri-and menopause. Face oil often feels greasy just because too much oil is being used on the skin in one application - that's why it's important to just listen to your skin and give it just the right amount in the way that feels enough to you. We're all different in that respect - some days I use just 3-4 drops, other times I use more like 10+. It just depends on your individual situation.
What type of skin is Glow in a Bottle best for?
Glow in a Bottle is perfect for for dry, dehydrated, or stressed skin. Our luxury oil supports dullness, fine lines, and uneven tone—while boosting glow and prepping perfectly for makeup.
How long does a bottle last?
With daily use, applying 3-4 drops, a single 30ml bottle of Glow in a Bottle will typically last between 2 to 3 months. It entirely depends on how you want to use it. Some of our customers also use it on the neck and décolletage area, cuticles, for face / gua sha massage and even their hair and therefore it naturally runs out quicker.
Should I use face oil instead of or with my moisturiser?
You can do both.
Glow in a Bottle can be used alone or layered over your hydrating serums and moisturisers. For drier skin, apply it last to seal in moisture. For oilier skin, use 2–3 drops as your final step at night.
Is Glow in a Bottle only for my face?
It was formulated as a face oil, but over time I've heard of so many customers who use it on their hair, massage it into their cuticles or on dry patches like their elbows. It's also very popular for a relaxing facial massage with just hands or a tool like a Gua Sha.

What does Glow in a Bottle smell like?
The oil has a very subtle, natural botanical scent from the pure plant oils—no synthetic fragrance used. The aroma is calming and dissipates quickly, making it a wonderful part of your daily self-care ritual. Customers love the smell so much that I replicated it in our super popular Cleansing Balm too. It's worth noting that due to the nature of using natural oils there can be slight differences in the colour and exact smell between the batches and harvests that we source from our suppliers, but the core of it is always the same.
What does Glow in a Bottle actually do for mature, changing / drier skin?
It replenishes what ageing and changing skin loses as time goes on.
As we age, lipid production declines, leading to dryness, dullness, and a weaker barrier. Glow in a Bottle Face Oil restores skin suppleness, supports barrier function, helps to prevent water loss from the skin's surface, adds radiance, and helps to soften fine lines.
Can I use Glow in a Bottle with my other skincare products?
Absolutely. Glow in a Bottle is a great standalone product, but it also layers beautifully over serums or moisturisers without pilling, and can be used day and/or night. I often mix a few drops into my moisturiser or a serum to give it an extra boost, and I love the skin feel of that. When my skin needs a little extra, I even mix a few drops with my foundation and that gives a lovely, glowy finish. That being said, do not mix a face oil with any prescription skincare, Retinoids or skincare as that may affect their tested efficacy.
